Bespoke gin & contract distilling in Bristol

Flight Club London Dry Gin bottle

Every good gin starts with an idea. It might be a house pour made for your bar, a bottle that captures the character of your business, or the beginnings of a new spirits brand. At The Spirit of Bristol, we help turn that idea into a gin people will want to come back to.

Led by award-winning Head Distiller Pete Lumber, we create bespoke and white label gins for bars, restaurants, hospitality groups and brands across the UK. We bring the same care to every collaboration that goes into our own spirits.

Contract distilling: a gin made for you

If you want a gin that’s yours from the first drop, Pete will work with you to develop it. We’ll talk about the flavours you have in mind, who it’s for and how it will be enjoyed. A house gin needs to work beautifully in your signature serves; a bottle for retail needs to tell its own story on the shelf.

From there, we develop the recipe together through tastings and refinements before distilling and bottling your gin. You’ll have a hand in shaping the liquid throughout, with Pete’s experience behind every decision.

White label gin

You may already have the name, the audience and a clear idea of how your bottle should look. Our white label service helps you create a gin to sell or serve under your own brand, without having to build a distillery of your own.

Tell us what you need and we’ll talk through the right approach to the liquid, the bottle and the finished product.

From first idea to finished bottle

The spirit is only part of the story. With our creative partners and label design team, we can help develop the name, branding and packaging that bring your gin to life. Whether you arrive with a detailed brief or a few thoughts scribbled on a page, we can help shape them into a product ready to take to market.

Trusted behind bars across the UK

We created two distinct London Dry Gins for Flight Club and Electric Shuffle, working with their bar teams to develop spirits suited to each brand’s drinks programme. Today, those gins are poured across their UK venues, both as house gins and in cocktails.

We’re also the distillers behind Bird Gin, created for Little French and Freddy Bird’s restaurants and bars.

Each project is different. What matters to us is that the gin tastes right, works where it needs to work and feels unmistakably yours.
